We decided to take a break from our busy lives to take an unplanned mini-vacation to Catalina Island. We found it to be a very relaxing and enjoyable trip. Amelia especially loved playing in the ocean. Raymond was fascinated with the William Wrigley Memorial just outside of Avalon. The hike to the botanical gardens, the glass-bottom boat, and golf cart rental (the main mode of transportation in Avalon) was a treat for the whole family. Here is some of the spectacular scenery we enjoyed on the island:
